Community Education & Outreach Programs

The Stow Fire Department is proud to offer a variety of educational programs to the communities we serve. These programs include safety presentations, fire station tours, school programs, public CPR training, and community events.

CPR TRAINING & CERTIFICATION

Stow firefighters host CPR training for companies, events or public classes. Details about this program will be updated in the future

FIRE STATION TOURS

The Stow Fire Department welcomes the public into our building for tours. While tours do not have to be pre-approved, reaching out is strongly recommenced. Tours typically last approximately 30 minutes and are subject to the crew’s availability.

SCHOOL VISITS

Stow firefighters can visit your school for a presentation on fire prevention, what to do in case of fire, firefighters as community helpers, and firefighter equipment and gear. School visits last approximately 40-60 minutes.

COMMUNITY EVENTS

Stow firefighters and educators are able to attend a variety of community events. Our participation is limited to educational and public community events in our service area and is subject to our staffing availability.

SAFETY PRESENTATIONS

Stow firefighters offers safety presentations to businesses, civic associations and other community groups. Presentation topics include: Fire Safety (Fire Prevention, Home Escape Plans, and Evacuation), Disaster Preparedness, Senior Safety, and Drowning Prevention.
