Liquor License Requirements Effective January 1, 2022

TRAINING FOR MANAGERS AND EMPLOYEES: The manager shall have successfully completed an alcoholic beverage server training program such as Training for Intervention Procedures by Servers (TIPS) for restaurants and lounges, or Beverage Alcohol Training (BAT) for package stores.  Managers must by certified by March 31, 2022 and must become re-certified every three years.  All other employees of the licensed establishment such as cashiers and waitresses who sell alcoholic beverages shall successfully complete either the TIPS or BAT training by November 30, 2022 and must become re-certified every three years, thereafter. All new employees of the establishments must receive TIPS or BAT training within 30 days of employment.  Establishments must provide copies of all certificates by the above due dates and going forward, must provide updated certificates to the Town to ensure compliance.
