Town of Stow Announces Flu Vaccine Clinics in Town, Region

STOW — Town Administrator Denise Dembkoski would like to announce that the Nashoba Associated Boards of Health will hold flu clinics in the Town of Stow on Oct. 16, and around the region during the month of October.

WHEN: 

Saturday, Oct. 16, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

WHERE: 

Pompositticut Community Center, 509 Great Road, Stow, MA

WHO: 

All adults, seniors and children 6 months and older who live in the Nashoba Valley may attend any of the clinics being offered.

WHAT: 

The Nashoba Associated Boards of Health are holding flu clinics throughout the month of October in member communities. Anyone from the region may attend any of the clinics.

The clinics will offer quadrivalent vaccines which protect against four strains of influenza. High dose flu vaccine will be available for those 65 and older. Preservative-free vaccines will be available for those 18 and under. The clinics will provide only inactivated, injectable influenza vaccine. No nasal or live vaccines will be available. Only influenza vaccines will be available.

Walk-ins will be accepted as vaccine supplies allow. Those attending should bring their photo identification and insurance cards to the clinic.

"It is especially important to protect ourselves from the flu this year with the COVID-19 pandemic ongoing and the health-care system fully engaged in that battle," Town Administrator Dembkoski said. "We encourage everyone to attend this clinic with their families and to stay safe, healthy and protected this winter."

The flu clinics will not provide COVID-19 vaccines.
