The Town of Stow is situated midway between Boston and Worcester and is a small residential community with rural aspects (Directions). The town boasts several apple orchards which are a beautiful sight to behold in spring and which attract many people in the early fall for apple picking. Stow is a mecca for golfers with 81 holes in town; Stow Acres Country Club, Butternut Farm Golf Club, Wedgewood Pines Country Club and Stow Away Golf Club provide some of the best golf in the state.
