STATE ETHICS / CONFLICT OF INTEREST:  2 REQUIREMENTS

JANUARY 2023:  The Commonwealth of Massachusetts launched a new online training program for the Conflict of Interest Law requirements.  You are required to complete the online training and acknowledge receipt of the summary for Municipal Employees.

STEP #1:   REGISTER
Please register at https://massethicstraining.skillburst.com/

You will be asked to enter your name and your email address, preferably your Town issued email address if you have one.  The email address you use is considered a public record.

STEP #2:  COMPLETE THE TRAINING

  • Once you have registered you will be able to access the training and acknowledgment receipt directly on the program and receive reminder messages annually
  • You must complete the training within 30 days of registering
  • The online training will take approximately 1 hour to complete
  • If you serve on more than one Board or Committee, you only need to complete this training once
  • If you have completed the MUNICIPAL training for another Town - you still need to register with Stow BUT email your certificates to townclerk@stow-ma.gov & we will update your completion dates for Stow.

STEP #3:  ACKNOWLEDGMENT

  • Do not forget to Click on the Acknowledgment of the Ethics Summary
  • Once the training & acknowledgment are both completed, no further action is necessary
  • You will receive an email confirming completion as well as the Certificate should you choose to print/save one for your records

Upon completion of your training, the Town Clerk will receive notification that it has been completed. You do NOT have to email your certificates to the Town Clerk, we can access them thru the database.  The only time you need to email copies is if the certificates were completed for another Town and you need Stow's records updated.
