Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Grant

The Towns of Stow and Hudson were awarded a grant by the Executive Office of Environment and Energy in 2020 for a two-year study of Lake Boon focusing on the impact of climate change on the lake's water quality and quantity.

The project is being coordinated by a team that includes the Lake Boon Commission, Lake Boon Association, Town of Stow Conservation Commission and Town of Hudson Conservation Commission.  The team is supported by a volunteer Steering Committee and the consulting firm of Brown and Caldwell.  The Lake Boon Association is coordinating volunteers who will be doing water quality measurements during 2021.

For more information about the project or to offer to volunteer, please contact Dan Barstow of the Lake Boon Commission at: danbarstow@gmail.com
