2018 Citizen Police Academy

The Stow Police Department is having its second Citizens Academy. This is a 8-week program giving residents a unique insight into the life and training of a Stow Police Officer. The class will begin February 21, 2018. Class meets each Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. at the Community Building 509 Great Road, Stow.  The first class being held at the Stow Police Station, 305 Great Road.

The goal of the Citizens Academy is to build a bridge between the citizens and the Stow Police Department that serves them. During the 8-week program, citizens experience a civilian adapted version of the police academy. The Citizens Academy meets one night a week for 3 hours. Graduates of this program gain a unique insight into the life and training of a law enforcement officer.

This is offered free to residents of Stow over the age of 21.  However, a suggested donation of $25 is asked to help fund the 2018 Youth Police Academy.  If interested please email application to Sgt. Sallese at msallese@stow-ma.gov or Det Ela at cela@stow-ma.gov or you can drop them off at the Stow Police Station 305 Great Road.
