Stow’s Assabet River Rail Trail Committee will host a public meeting on Monday, April 14th, at 7:30pm in the Town Hall to present important background information regarding Article 40 on the May Town Meeting Warrant, the proposed purchase of an easement on the Albright parcel along the Assabet River known as “Track Road”.
This purchase will complete a public access corridor from Sudbury Road, near the Assabet River bridge, to the Maynard line at the White Pond Road bridge. The 2004 Town Meeting approved purchase of the first portion of the parcel.
With this purchase Stow will be able to link to the Assabet River Rail Trail in Maynard, which will continue through Maynard to the commuter rail station in South Acton.
