The Stow Council On Aging is here to provide support to seniors by being a resource of information on elder affairs, provide social activities, outreach services, and help the senior population of Stow remain in their homes as long as safely possible.

The Council oversees a wide range of programs and services for the Senior Citizens of Stow. Programs include Meals on Wheels, Drop-In Center, Exercise Class, Art Classes, Crafts Group, Bus Trips, Christmas Dinner, and Friendly Visitors. Services include Tax Assistance, Van Service, Medicare Information, Newsletter, Health & Housing Information and Referral, and other social services. A monthly newsletter is sent to all Stow senior residents providing a calendar of activities and events for seniors.

COA programs and services are provided by a full and part time staff, and by volunteers.

A lunch program provided by Minuteman Senior Services serves lunch at the First Parish Church Fellowship Hall at noon. Come early for conversation and coffee, 11:30 Tuesdays and Thursdays for a donation of $2.00. Reservations are required.  Please call Sue Burns at 781-825-5194 to make a reservation. You must call Sue Burns by Friday for Tuesday’s lunch and by Tuesday for Thursday’s lunch.  Note:  If you need transportation to the Mealsite please contact the COA at 978-897-1880.

The COA Board meets the second Thursday of each month in the 3rd Floor Conference Room of the Town Building.  They provide direction and advice to the COA staff through the Council's Director.
